With over 7 Billion mobile subscriptions worldwide, Mobile advertising promises to drive revenue generation opportunities, says market researcher ReportsnReports.com.

Currently the market accounts for nearly $17 Billion in annual revenue, but by the end of 2020, tablet based advertising campaigns alone will generate more than $27 Billion in global revenue, according to ReportsnReports.

According to eMarketer, mobile internet ad spending worldwide topped $18.15 billion in 2013, up from $8.82 billion in 2012.

The rapid growth of mobile ad revenues at Facebook has helped make the social network the second-largest digital ad seller in the US, behind only Google.

Just like on the desktop, Google and Facebook grabbed the greatest shares of net US mobile ad revenues, with Facebook jumping to over 16.0% by 2013.

Together, eMarketer projects Google and Facebook will control 56% of the U.S. ad dollars by 2015 and probably a majority of the global mobile ad marketplace of $72 billion by 2017.

The Google ad machine combined with Dish spectrum and streaming rights would be a formidable competitor. Still, the infrastructure of 14 million satellite dishes would seem to need a macro partner — perhaps T-Mobile or Sprint.
