WiND version for WNA
wind.wna.gr network database maps is a project based on the 1st WiND (created by AWMN members and available at WiND.cube.gr), a Web application created for Wireless Community Networks. More information about main features available at wind.cube.gr
The main difference from the initial project is that the project is two-way linked to wna.gr/forum. There are changes in the wind code and plugins to the wna.gr forum that allow to monitor wind node changes and display messages to users, send PMs, include or remove users from specific forum groups etc.
This project, as other projects by WNA, needs more developers and testers. To contribute please join the developers group at wna.gr/forum groups. You can read the general Changelog of wna.gr in Greek here: http://www.wna.gr/wiki/Changelog
Major changes:
- Supports Multiple Communities. Each node owner can select a Wireless community that the node belongs to
- Map changes: added Marker Clusterer functionality, added zoom in/out using mouse scroller
- Added Admins per Wireless Community
- Node options: added free interfaces declaration and search for users
- User interface unified to wna.gr theme, added facebook-like chat bar also with options to chat with forum friends or facebook or google friends too.
- Gets access rights from wna.gr/forum - registrations allowed through wna.gr/forum
- Node interfaces: added Hotspot interfaces (the owner can add text which will show up in his wna.gr hotspot page)

Το σκεπτικό πίσω από το Wind.wna.gr
Αρχικά θέλαμε να έχουμε ένα κεντρικό χάρτη με όλες τις κοινότητες ώστε ο ενδιαφερόμενος να έχει μια συνολική εικόνα και εάν θέλει συγκεκριμένες πληροφορίες να μπορεί να επικοινωνεί άμεσα με την κοινότητα και με τον διαχειριστή του κόμβου. Το σκεπτικό πίσω από όλο το WNA.gr είναι να γίνει πιο κοινωνικό μια που αυτός ήταν και ο λόγος που άνθισαν τα ασύρματα δίκτυα. Μια που οι συναντήσεις μεταξύ μελών έχουν πλέον μειωθεί, προσπαθούμε να ακολουθήσουμε τη νέα μόδα και να έχουμε ηλεκτρονικές επαφές με τα υπόλοιπα μέλη, κάνοντας το σύστημα πιο "έξυπνο" και δίνοντας στα μέλη τη δυνατότητα να επικοινωνούν περισσότερο μέσω του web εκτός από μηνύματα και με chat όπως αυτό του facebook αλλά και μέσω facebook και google στο ίδιο chat. ..

Στην έκδοση 40 (από 33) έχουν γίνει οι κατάλληλες αλλαγές για να μπορεί να τρέχει στο http://dev.wna.gr/wind η έκδοση όπως είναι στο wind.wna.gr
